French Toast Bake


If you’re in need of something extra special to cook up for a weekend brunch, we have just the thing. This French Toast Bake with Pecan Crumble is gluten free, contains no refined sugar, and puts our Unsweetened Plant Milk to good use. 


  • 1 loaf gluten-free bread
  • 2 cups Unsweetened Lavva Plant Milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tbsp flax meal
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

For the crumble:

  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free
  • 1:1 all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted


  1. Whisk together the custard ingredients.
  2. Cut the loaf of bread into cubes.
  3. Add the cubed bread to an 8 x8 inch baking dish. Evenly pour the custard over the bread.
  4. Mix the ingredients for the crumble until well combined.
  5. Sprinkle the pecan crumble across the top of the bread mixture.
  6. Bake at 350ºF for 35-40 minutes.
